CUTENESS ALERT! Pet-Proposals to Make Sure They’ll Say “Yes”

The only thing more adorable than a romantic wedding proposal is your furry best friend. When the two are combined, you've got a juggernaut of precious that cannot be stopped!

Of course, pet-prosals aren't as easy as they seem. What if your pet starts coughing up a hairball right at that special moment? What if they decide that pile of mud is more interesting than your proposal?

To help you plan your pet-prosal, we've compiled a list of ideas with difficulty ratings to help you choose the most adorable way to pop the question:

1. Show Me A Sign!

Cuteness: BAAAWW!
Doable: Totally!

All you need is a patient dog, a sign, and some string. Make sure it sits comfortably on your puppy pal, so he won't feel like his neck is straining.

2. Collar Us Impressed!

Cuteness: EEEEE!
Doable: Slightly tricky, but worth the effort!

Kitties can be a little finicky when it comes to their collars. We recommend ditching the Post-it note style sign in order to ensure that your cat won't get annoyed and mess up your special moment. When your partner sees a diamond ring on your cat's collar, they should figure out that something important is happening.

3. Nothin' Better Than a Sweater!

Cuteness: THAT DOG IS WEARING A ROSE AND A JACKET, LOOOOOK!
Doable: Some DIY work, but nothing too strenuous.

Do you have mad sewing skills? Great! Make your pet a tiny tuxedo and get some iron-on letters to spell out your adorable question.

4. Strike A Pose!

Cuteness: IT'S TOO CUTE.
Doable: Not for the impatient!

Think you can't teach an old dog new tricks? Pshaw, we say! We suggest training your dog to propose after your second date (if you've got that loving feeling) so they'll have about a year to get it just right.

5. Balancing Act

image5!

Cuteness: DEAD. WE ARE DEAD FROM THE CUTE.
Doable: Uhm ... maybe not a great idea ...

This makes for a great photo, but can you really trust your dog to not, you know, MOVE? At least the ring is safely in the box—

NOPE. NO. NOOOOPE. Abort the mission! That ring is NOT gonna stay! Oh my god – are they outside?! Do you not WANT this ring?!

6. Canine Cinematographer

Cuteness: Eh. If the dog was IN this video, instead of taking it, we'd be more on board.
Doable: If you've got the GoPro and like watching videos that make you dizzy, then this is proposal is a breeze!

Want to play it safe? Strap the ol' GoPro on your furry buddy and hope they're looking at you!

7. Dog Tag "I Do"

Cuteness: If this tag is attached to a new puppy, YES.
Doable: Totally!

Sane enough not to trust your pooch with a diamond ring? Etsy seller Sycamore Hill makes these lovely hand stamped collar tags.

Whether you have a trained dog, or a finicky cat who'd rather be doing ANYTHING else, a pet-proposal is the perfect way to include your furry friend in an unforgettable moment.
